eeee graduation ceremony yesterday was a blast ;u; I was way too happy to have cried xD I'll really miss my highschool friends because you guys give me all the joys. ALL OF IT. I have to spend summer with you guys since a lot of you are going so far away D'x But yes, congrats to all who are graduating this 2012! Woopwoop
On another note, I AM COMPLETELY FREE YES YESYEYSYESSS. I can finally work on personal projects that I've put off for so long ;u; And oh man I'm so so ready for a summer OCT!or mmo LOL I also wanna work on my coloring style and plot-making skills (if I had any LOL orz). But yes, for the kiriban winner, you'll have to wait for another day or 2 D'x 'cause I think I sprained my thumb or something 'cause it hurts really badly and ugh is sorta semi-purple...e.e So I'll rest my thumb for the weekend and start my super-drawing mode!
mmk since I have time now, I can finally do the question thingies Gail (Falceto-Rekuri ) posted up ;u;
___________________________________________________________________________________________
1. When did you first start to like drawing/writing?
- Just like every other artist, I've dearly enjoyed drawing since I was a little kid. I remember I would always hoard all of these papers and start drawing whatever I watched on TV like the Power Puff Girls or Kim Possible xD I used to draw a lot for my sister that I never met too. I compiled all of them and put them in her treasure box ;u;
2. Do you feel that talent is necessary to become a great artist/writer?
- Hmmm I do believe talent is necessary but it can only get you so far. I think hardwork and passion far exceeds talent in any given field.
3. Are you proud of your work so far?
- Ughh not that much? I mean for the pieces I actually put effort on, I get pretty proud of after its finish but lol it doesn't really last long because I start to dissect/criticize it until I end up disliking it.
4. Strengths? Weaknesses?
- I'm a pretty sad artist so i can't really find my strengths right now xD If I must though, I think I'm improving on coloring, a bit anyway ;u; Ohohoh for weaknesses I have a gigantic list. Story-telling isn't really my strong point because I never took it that seriously until the last year or 2. Ever since though, I've concocted several floating storylines in my head (more complex ones anyway). I also need practice in depicting motion because a lot of my things look pretty static to me. But yes! This is what I have summer for *u*
5. Tricky question time! What's a common goal in your artistic/written pieces?
- Common goal? Hmnn to share what i feel I guess? To share whatever notion or feelings I have. It's a lot of self-expression, improvement, and entertainment at the same time ;u;
6. Do you have any original stories to share? Or do you prefer to do fan-related projects? Both are cool~!
- I do have a couple of original stories but none of them are really fleshed out yet for me to share. And yus, I do have fan-related projects as well xD My friend is making this little group of homestucker thingies among our friends and it sounds pretty fun so far ;u;
7. Current favourite character that you've designed? / Current favourite existing character?
- Bluuuuuuhhh design-wise, I don't really have a favorite 'cause all if them seem so simple to me D'x But personality-wise, I do like quite a lot of them--like Zicrei, Marge, and Agnes ;u;
8. Do you give your characters theme songs~?
- No, not really xD
9. Name three big creative influences!
- kjdsjsdn there's so many efdapoliceimnamingfour. First and foremost, Glen Keane because he's such a great animator. He animated everything I loved in my childhood ;u; I wish someday I could be as close to his skills as I can--even just a little bit. Next is Endling because he never ceases to wake the inspiration within me. I love love love how he's so flexible in both story-telling and character design. And the other 2 is nargyle because no one can draw dynamic poses as naturally as she can anddd Phobs 'cause holy crap I can't get over how gorgeous the style is.
10. What creative work are you currently focused on?
- I'm planning on focusing on comic-making so that I can practice both character design and story-telling.
11. Latest source of inspiration?
- Lately, I've been stalking Xamag 'cause I really love her style and characters! (and dkjfbdjsfnd SO TALENTED AT SUCH A YOUNG AGE HOW CAN YOU JUST BE 16)
12. How has this affected your creative work? Specific examples?
- I haven't drawn lately because of hectic senior work /coughandsenioritis but I do plan on implementing the inspiration I get from her on paper soon!
13. Almost done with these questions! What's your general reaction to seeing other people's art/reading their stories?
- I'm really happy that their stories are being heard and that their artworks are appreciated! I wish someday my artworks will be deserving of the same attention.
14. What's your response to constructive criticism? Do you like it, or not?
- It's really a mix xD I'd be lying if I said I'm not saddened by some of them but the benefits of it really outweigh it all. So yes! I do welcome constructive criticism but I sort of need to mentally prepare myself for it first xD
15. Your reaction to the art community? Likes, dislikes?
- I love being a part of this art community ;u; Being able to share and express what I feel through artworks to these people feels pretty great. Hmn I guess one of the things I dislike is that one doesn't get as much recognition if they do all OC vs fanart even though they are so much better than the ones who do the latter
16. Hardest thing about being an artist/writer?
- Argh the struggle to improve I guess. It's so hard to please myself ;__; So I have to work hard to improving so that I can gain some self-satisfaction in my works
17. Easiest thing about being an artist/writer?
- ventventvent. It feels so good to vent through art.
18. So close to the end! Is art/writing a hobby for you, or is it a business path?
- It started out as a hobby but now, I finally convinced my parents to let me pursue it in college ;u;
19. Your dreams for the future? 8D
- This is an extremely long-term goal but I do dream of working in a decent-sized animation firm ;u;
20. Thanks for answering all... or most of these questions! Do you have any closing notes for your readers that made it to the end?
- I doubt anyone read this gigantic wall of text but if you did, thank you for doing so! When I was saying my farewells to my fellow graduates a friend of mine put both of his hands on my shoulders looked at me and said "if you want to draw...just draw," and gave me a hug. I thought those were inspirational words of goodbye ;u; So for my art buddies, just keep practicing and have a more positive view of life! (I sound like a joyous prick LOL sorry it's all the happies from last night eue;;

Alright I have 10 mins left and I'm sad I can't make it orz So my plan is actually going with the longer version of my plot, make it as beautiful as it can be because that's what my beautiful awesome opponent Jackoburra (https://www.deviantart.com/jackoburra) deserves u__u I plan to have these up one by one in the next couple of days. Convention Questions+ Updates

Hi guys! I know some of my watchers have sold at cons and such. I just had a couple of questions because I reeeeeally want to get a table next year for AX but I've never actually done any type of con selling before. So here ya go:
1. When do you actually sign up for next year's con tables? Right after AX is done? Earlier? Much later? or do I have to constantly check their site?
2. How much do you guys usually end up spending on making merchandise? Do you guys make good profit? (I know it's subjective but ya know, just in general or something)
3. Is it even advisable to have AX as my first con? W
